Halloween Monster Roundup

While ghosts are the main attraction at Halloween, werewolves and Bigfoot and such get their due. In the survey I posted results for below, it is clear that cryptids are losing the popularity battle. This despite a blitz of Bigfoot stories in the last year.

Somewhat surprisingly, the same data suggest that the typical audience for UFO stories in America do not believe in cryptids. UFOs are primarily of interest to white males, and those with a college degree are more likely to believe than those with a high school education or less (postgraduate students or degree holders decline in belief numbers). Cryptids, on the other hand, seem to attract non white or black women, Catholics, with less education the more belief.
